Living in such unprecedented times has been quite a whirlwind. With the whole team staying at home for the month of April, to now operating since the beginning of May, we find ourselves taking a moment to reflect on everything that’s happened so far – and to perhaps answer the question, “What have you been up to??”.

The beginnings of social distancing had us scratching our heads on how to keep bringing sweetness into all of your lives, while also keeping our little business going.

And so we developed a range of #socialdistancingcakes, in an effort to keep baking for you and give you the opportunity to spread a little love and joy while you were, and still are, spending less time with the ones you love.

We had such an INCREDIBLE response from all of you (really, we are still blown away) right up until just before we had to close at the end of March. We are still receiving orders for these cuties, and couldn’t be happier that we still get to make the world a sweeter place every day. 🙂

And speaking of the best cakelette community a gurl could ever ask for, the overwhelming support we received for our Mother’s Day Cupcake Bouquet, in our FIRST WEEK back at work, left us speechless. We delivered 234 cupcakes that weekend. Two hundred and thirty four!

Anyway, all we’re saying is that we are so grateful and humbled. Your support for us and many other small, local businesses is especially important in times like these. And we hope you continue to show your support in the months and years to come.

We’ll keep going ‘til the wheels fall off, and in the meantime, we’re going above and beyond to make sure all the treats flying out of our kitchen are properly handled and safe for you and your loved ones to enjoy, in person or on FaceTime. 😉
